Privacy policy
This policy explains what Gift For Him does with your personal information. We handle it in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
- Order details — name, email, phone, delivery address, and what you bought.
- Gift messages — if you write one, we read it only to hand-write the card, and we delete it after dispatch.
- Payment details — handled entirely by Stripe. Card numbers never reach our systems and we never store them.
- Site analytics — anonymous, aggregate page-view data. No advertising trackers, no cross-site profiling.
Why we collect it
To take payment, pack and ship your order, answer your emails, and meet our tax and record-keeping obligations. We do not sell your data, and we do not add you to a marketing list unless you ask.
Who we share it with
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Australia Post — delivery and tracking.
- Amazon Web Services — website hosting.
Some of these providers process data outside Australia. We only use providers that commit to protecting it to a comparable standard.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for seven years, as Australian tax law requires. Anything else is deleted when it is no longer needed.
Cookies
The site itself sets no tracking cookies. Stripe sets its own during checkout to process the payment and prevent fraud.
Access, correction and complaints
Email hello@giftforhim.com.au to see what we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it. We respond within 30 days.
If you are unhappy with how we handled it, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
